    I'm wondering what the limitations of inspection are for commercial trucks. Is probable cause required before a trucker has to open up the box?

    The trucking industry better step up and stand their ground before getting stopped anywhere, anytime becomes the new norm.

    How many innocent people lost their jobs or were seriously disciplined for being late to work because of this?

    Locally the F-18 crash seems to have stolen all the media attention, understandably ...

    Now the conspiracy theorists might claim that DHS arranged that crash to get themselves out of the hot seat for this latest VIPR fiasco.

    The DOT already does truck inspections, so the TSA's VIPR teams are riding in on the coattails. After the show of force farce in ATL recently I did on search on a few OTR driver chatboards to see if this subject came up, but didn't really find anything.

    ever notice that TSA pulls these stunts in states that have draconian gun laws? They dont pull it say in Texas where a trucker would air out a ASS for sticking there nose where it doesnt belong.

    Ya know, you guys can joke all you want about shooting federal agents -- though why you do this on a public forum is beyond me -- but you know damn well that the minute someone does it, that person will have the weight of the entire national security state down on his head. I don't know why you think this is a solution.

    You're allowed to shoot them in self-defense. That's why there were no murder convictions at either Ruby Ridge or Waco.

    People need to remember that we have Second Amendment to protect us from the government.
